MUSING aims at developing a new generation of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and modules based on semantic-based knowledge and content systems.
Business Intelligence can be described as "the interactive process of
analysing and exploring in-formation to discern trends or patterns,
thereby deriving insights and drawing conclusions". To support and
maximally automate this traditionally 
human-intensive work, the project MUSING aims at
 devel-oping a new generation of BI tools and modules founded on
 semantic-based knowledge and content systems. To this aim, MUSING
 will integrate Semantic Web 
and Human Language technolo-gies and combine
 declarative rule-based methods and statistical approaches 
for enhancing the technological foundations of 
knowledge acquisition and reasoning in Business Intelligence applications
