GATE Developer/Embedded Version 8.0 release (May 2014)

GATE Developer/Embedded 8.0 introduces

• new tools for Twitter data, including the TwitIE named entity annotation pipeline
• tools to support the creation of manually-annotated corpora using crowd sourcing
• a refreshed and updated ANNIE, with improved performance
• new plugins wrapping various third-party annotation services, and a host of improvements and bug-fixes to many existing plugins.
